Finalists for Grand Lisboa Palace Dealer Uniform Design Contest Announced PDF Print E-mail

Winner to be Selected by SJM Employees

In order to promote the development of cultural industries in Macao, support local designers, and create business opportunities for local small and medium-sized enterprises, manufacturers, and young entrepreneurs, Sociedade de Jogos de Macau, S.A. (SJM), Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Center (CPTTM), and Macao Chamber of Commerce (ACM) have jointly organised the Grand Lisboa Palace Dealer Uniform Design Contest. After two rounds of rigorous judging, three finalists have been elected.

The contest drew an overwhelming response, receiving a total of 43 high-quality submissions. Eight semi-finalists then presented their creative concept, design features, and fabric selections to the judging panel in late September. After thoughtful evaluation and deliberation, the top three finalists were chosen, namely Wang Chengwu, Lin Hai, and Tam Hang I. They have since produced samples of their designs to compete for the winning title in the final stage of the contest.

The three sets of uniform samples will be displayed at the Grand Lisboa Hotel lobby, Sofitel Ponte 16 Hotel lobby, SJM Excellence Staff Center, and the L’Arc Macau staff canteen from 7th to 18th November. The general public will be able to view the designs at the hotel lobbies of Grand Lisboa Hotel and Sofitel Ponte 16, while SJM employees will be able to vote for their favourite design on a one-person-one-vote basis. The winning design will be adopted as the dealer uniform for Grand Lisboa Palace, SJM’s upcoming integrated resort.
